The Deschutes National Forest and Discover Your Forest, friends of the Deschutes and Ochoco National Forests and Crooked River National Grassland, are hosting a Natural Resources Career Fair for high school youth called “Finding your Niche in Natural Resources.”

The Natural Resource Career Fair is for high school students, grades 9-12, from Deschutes, Jefferson, Klamath and Crook counties. It will be held on Thursday, April 28 from 3-6 p.m. at the Deschutes Public Library (Downtown Bend Branch/Brooks Room) 601 NW Wall Street, Bend OR 97703.

The Career Fair will include more than twenty natural resource organizations from education, recreation, non-profit, federal and state agencies. Representatives will host booths highlighting volunteer, internship and job opportunities for youth. Local natural resource professionals will provide information about their organizations, the skills involved in different types of jobs, and what steps to take between high school and applying for a full time job.

A Pizza Party and raffle prizes will be on going during the fair
