Three arrests, one citation in La Pine-area meth raid
Three La Pine residents were arrested and a fourth cited in a drug raid Thursday on a home north of La Pine involving Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit detectives and the agency’s Special Operations (SWAT) Team, officials said.
A search warrant was executed around 10 a.m. at the home at 16202 Green Forest Road, said sheriff’s Sgt. Deke DeMars.
The investigation involved methamphetamine delivery and possession. DeMars said they found street-level quantities of meth, including scales and other evidence, and a restricted knife.
Robert A. Edmondson, 32, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Polk County for parole violation, as well as meth delivery and possession charges and felon in possession of a restricted weapon.
Sara A. Gallamore, 37, also faces meth possession and delivery charges and felon in possession of a restricted weapon. Shelly Trout, 46, was arrested on a meth possession charges, while Albert Smith, 71, was issued a citation in lieu of custody. Edmondson and Gallamore remained held Thursday night at the Deschutes County Jail.
One neighbor who asked not to be identified said residents in the area don’t feel safe and have been complaining about drug activity in the area for a while. She told NewsChannel 21’s Wanda Moore they are glad something finally is being done about it.
