Cascade Natural Gas Bend project update

Crews working on the Cascade Natural Gas Bend Westside Line Replacement Project will be found this week around the Intersection of Northwest Tumalo Avenue and Congress Street.

The next two blocks of NW Tumalo between State Street and Broadway will remain shut down to through traffic until at least this Friday.

Crews have been averaging about 80 feet per day; however, they are starting to encounter some solid rock, and that will slow them down.

Motorists should continue to avoid NW Tumalo Avenue for the next 3-4 weeks during construction. The street will be open each evening around 5:30 p.m.
