Update: Ex-Bend massage therapist shows up late for court
A former Bend massage therapist who allegedly sexually assaulted two clients failed to show up for a court hearing Tuesday morning and an arrest warrant was issued — but he showed up later in the day, due to an apparent scheduling mix-up.
Earlier, Deschutes County District Attorney John Hummel told NewsChannel 21 an arrest warrant had been issued for Christopher Randolph Rosario. 37.
Rosario was released from jail last week after posting the required 10 percent of his $250,000 bail.
He was due before Circuit Judge Beth Bagley at 9:30 a.m. for arraignment on an amended indictment accusing him of first- and third-degree sexual abuse and first-degree unlawful sexual penetration.
A spokeswoman for Hummel’s office later told NewsChannel 21 Rosario showed up around 1:30 p.m. for the time he’d been told to appear, and the arraignment took place at that time.
