Roads reopen after Colorado Ave. crash downed power lines

KTVZ

A two-car crash at Northwest Colorado Avenue and Sisemore Street south of downtown Bend caused no serious injuries Monday morning, but downed power lines and repairs prompted street closures and detours in the area of the Bend Parkway, officials said.

Deschutes County 911 dispatchers got the first reports of the crash shortly before 8 a.m. Bend police and fire crews on scene reported the crash downed power lines, causing a hazard and shutting Colorado Avenue temporarily, as well as the southbound Colorado Avenue exit on the Bend Parkway.

Pacific Power crews on scene by about 8:30 a.m. said it would take some time to resolve the power line hazard. Westbound Colorado Avenue was closed at Arizona Avenue and the southbound off-ramp at Colorado was closed until around noon.

All roads were back open by midday, though Pacific Power crews were still working and had one lane of Colorado Avenue closed at Sisemore Street.
