Bend man arrested in DRW heroin, meth raid
A 42-year-old Bend-area resident was arrested Thursday by Deschutes County sheriff’s detectives in a drug raid on his Deschutes River Woods home that turned up heroin and methamphetamine, deputies said.
Detectives with the agency’s street crimes unit served a search warrant on a home in the 19000 block of Manzanita Lane, said Sgt. Deke DeMars. He said the home was the subject of a short-term investigation of street-level sales and possession of methamphetamine and heroin.
During the raid, Jason Prader was found to be in possession of street-level quantities of heroin and arrested on heroin possession and delivery charges. He was booked into county jail on heroin delivery and possession charges and held without bail on a probation violation.
A search of the property turned up methamphetamine, digital scales and paraphernalia, as well as evidence of a small, inactive “butane honey oil” operation, DeMars said
DeMars said he could not confirm who lives at the home as the ongoing investigation has shown several people were involved and new about the drug sales and possession.
