Bend Economic Development Advisory Board applicants sought

The City of Bend is seeking applicants for two positions on the Bend Economic Development Advisory Board.

Bend Economic Development Advisory Board members are appointed for three-year terms to advise the City Council on economic development matters, facilitate entrepreneurial support among community resources, guide City marketing and outreach efforts to the business community and oversee City economic development resources.

To balance existing board membership, the City is looking for representatives from the high tech, aviation, biotech and outdoor recreation and equipment industries. However, any interested and engaged members of the business community are encouraged to apply.

Board commitment time includes attendance at monthly committee meetings and at least one subcommittee meeting. A high level of involvement with the applicant’s industry in Bend is preferred. Applicants must reside within the Bend city limits.

Applications will be accepted until 8 a.m. on Monday, August .
