C.O. Council on Aging seeks public comment on plan

KTVZ

The Older Americans Act requires each designated Area Agency on Aging to develop an area plan. Currently, active four-year AAA Area Plans and updates expire on 12/31/16. The local AAA is the Central Oregon Council on Aging, located in Bend.

COCOA is seeking public comment on its Draft Area Plan for the next four years. Seniors, family members caring for an older loved one, elected officials, advocates, and other interested parties are invited to a public hearing, which will be conducted at the following:

Prineville Senior Center: Wednesday, July 6, 12:30 pm

Bend Senior Center: Thursday, July 7, 12:30 pm

Jefferson County Senior Center: Friday, July 8, 12:30 pm

The hearing will include a brief overview and highlights of the Draft Area Plan, with the majority of the time allotted for public comment. Written comments may be mailed or delivered to the COCOA office at 373 NE Greenwood Ave., Bend, OR 97701, submitted at the hearing, or emailed to admin@councilonaging.org. COCOA will accept written comments through July 14.

About Central Oregon Council on Aging
