Auditor confirms Eugene PD supervisor’s Bend incident
EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – An auditor’s office report says a drunken police supervisor vomited in a work vehicle after a conference in Bend ended for the day and he went out for drinks with colleagues.
The Register-Guard reports (http://bit.ly/2lYrWEB) the supervisor was also accused of repeatedly touching a female officer’s leg, neck and hair in March of last year.
Deschutes County District Attorney John Hummel identified the supervisor as Eugene police Lt. Doug Mozan.
The Eugene Police Auditor’s Office and Police Chief Pete Kerns upheld the accusations against Mozan.
They also upheld accusations against an unidentified supervisor who did not report the behavior until Mozan was up for a promotion.
Hummel declined to file charges due to lack of evidence, the newspaper reported, citing a letter the prosecutor sent to a Eugene police captain..
It’s unclear whether any disciplinary action will be taken.
