Update: Missing Eagle Crest man found OK in Redmond

KTVZ

Deschutes County sheriff’s deputies said Saturday night a missing Alzheimer’s patient who walked away from his home at Eagle Crest Resort, west of Redmond, had been found safe in the city.

“The missing subject from Eagle Crest has been located in Redmond and is being reunited with his family,” the agency said in its update, adding a thanks to the public for their assistance.

Earlier, Sgt. William Bailey said the man, whose name was not released, had walked away from his home in the 1800 block of Southwest Condor Drive.

In the initial public alert, Bailey said the man was believed to be wearing a light green shirt, blue jeans and black shoes, Bailey said, and probably also is wearing glasses.

The sergeant said the man probably would appear confused and verbalize little. The sheriff’s office had released a photo to the public to help identify and find him.
