Search continues for man who fell into Yamhill River

KTVZ

SHERIDAN, Ore. (AP) – The Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the search for a man last seen floating down the Yamhill River.

Authorities say 25-year-old Brian Disabatino of Sheridan fell into the river from a bridge shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday.

Capt. Chris Ray says Monday’s search will be done by helicopter.

The sheriff’s office and the family of the missing man are discouraging people from trying to perform their own searches by watercraft. The flow of water on the Yamhill River from Sheridan to McMinnville is listed at 2,346 cubic feet per second and is expected to increase with expected rain in coastal mountains.
