Deschutes County honored for budget, financial reports
Deschutes County received Wednesday the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award and the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association.
“These are the highest honors a local government can earn for its budgeting and financial reporting efforts,” said county Administrator Tom Anderson. “It is a great honor and a testament to the efforts put forth by Budget Analyst Loni Burk, Accounting Manager Jeanine Faria and all of the staff in county departments that work collectively to contribute to these efforts.”
Deschutes County had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation and financial reporting to receive the awards.
