Maintenance to close Riverbend off-leash dog park parking lot
The Bend Park and Recreation District is doing some maintenance work at the gravel parking lot at the dog off-leash area at Riverbend Park and will have two temporary closures in the coming weeks due to the work.
The parking lot at the dog off-leash area at Riverbend Park will be closed on May 18 and May 19 for work to rip, grade and compact the gravel parking area. This work will begin in the early morning on May 18 and will be completed by mid-afternoon on May 19 . During the closure, users of the dog off-leash area are asked to park at the paved parking lot for Riverbend Park and the District Office at 799 SW Columbia Street.
The work and closure will not impact the gravel parking lot or use for May 20 , which is the date of the Pole Pedal Paddle.
The parking lot at the off-leash dog area at Riverbend Park will also be closed on May 23 to allow for dust abatement material to be applied to the gravel lot.
Signage and barriers will be place to inform park users about the parking lot closure.
The park district said it “appreciates patron patience with the closure that is intended to improve the parking area for summer use.”
