Semi rollover blocks Hwy. 22 for hours
(Update: Correcting day of crash)
A semi-truck rollover crash blocked or restricted traffic on Highway 22 west of Detroit for hours Sunday afternoon, causing a backup one driver estimated at 10 miles in length.
Oregon State Police said the crash was reported about five miles west of Detroit before 3 p.m.
Troopers said the initial reports were of possible entrapment and injuries, but there were no further details later in the day.
Motorists sharing photos with NewsChannel 21 showed how one lane of traffic was being flagged past the overturned semi later in the afternoon and evening. Others said they hadn’t moved for close to an hour.
The ODOT TripCheck page indicated the road was reopened by Sunday night.
