A former assistant varsity basketball coach for La Pine High School who has been working in a similar capacity at Lakeview High School has been arrested on allegations of trying to lure a minor and possessing child pornography in Deschutes County, authorities said Thursday.

Dylan T. Sullivan, 28, was arrested by Oregon State Police last Friday in Lakeview.

Sullivan was working as a teacher and boys’ basketball coach at Lakeview High School when he was arrested, officials said.

According to OSP, the alleged crimes were committed in Deschutes County. But investigators have not released any information in regards to details of the allegations or a timeline of when or where the incidents happened.

Sullivan was booked in the Deschutes County jail on Friday and posted 10 percent of his $30,000 bail on Saturday, pending a June 15th court date . He was charged with luring a minor and first-degree counts of encouraging child sex abuse and possessing materials depicting sexually explicit conduct of a child.

According to Bend-La Pine Schools spokeswoman Julianne Repman, Sullivan worked as an assistant football coach from 2013 to 2015 and assistant coach boys’ varsity basketball coach at La Pine High School. He also taught language arts at La Pine Middle School during the 2014-2015 year.

Repman said the district has not been contacted by OSP about the case.

Lake County School District Superintendent Will Cahill told NewsChannel 21 that Sullivan was put on paid administrative leave on Friday and cannot have any contact with students or go near any school campuses.

According to the Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office, investigators from OSP have not yet submitted their report and could not comment on the case.

Sullivan also reportedly had worked previously at the Forest Grove and Junction City high schools.
