Redmond’s Evergreen Ave. closed Wednesday for repaving
Evergreen Avenue in downtown Redmond will be closed for repaving Wednesday, May 31, beginning 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. from 6 th Street to the Highway 97 interchange. Both eastbound and westbound traffic will be required to find alternative routes during the closure.
The repaving of Evergreen Avenue is one of many road maintenance projects slated for Redmond city streets in the next few weeks. A complete list of projects and a schedule can be viewed online at www.redmondstreets.com
Keeping Redmond’s streets and trails smooth and well-maintained is a top priority for the City and regular maintenance avoids large capital expenses caused by deferring investment. Weather permitting, Redmond’s Public Works Department crews will be conducting asphalt maintenance on City streets from June 5 through June 7, 2017. Maintenance activities include tree trimming, crack sealing and hot oil chip seal.
The street sections listed below will be closed to through traffic with accommodations for local resident and business access. The City is asking that all vehicles be removed from the street on the scheduled dates and use alternative routes if possible during construction activity.
