Portland pedestrian dies after crash

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Officials say a pedestrian has died from his injuries after being hit by a vehicle during a car crash.

The Oregonian/OregonLive reports (http://bit.ly/2wmFkXq ) 36-year-old Nathaniel Franciosi was hit by a car after it crashed into another car near a Portland intersection.

Washington County sheriff’s officials say 58-year-old Michelle McMillan’s vehicle was struck by 71-year-old William Blakeslee’s SUV on Sunday as she was turning into her apartment complex. According to officials, the force of the impact sent the SUV onto the sidewalk, striking Franciosi.

Officials say he was taken to Oregon Health and Sciences University, where he died on Monday. McMillian suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Law enforcement officials are investigating the crash. No arrests have been made.
