Coos County sheriff’s deputy accused of beating wife

COOS BAY, Ore. (AP) – Police arrested a Coos County sheriff’s deputy accused of beating his wife.

The World newspaper reports (https://is.gd/Ur7HAg ) 39-year-old Klayton Wilson was arrested Sunday after Bandon police responded to a report of a disturbance and found the woman in the front yard. She was shaking, and her hands and face were covered in blood.

Wilson works for the Coos County Sheriff’s Office. He faces charges of menacing, harassment and assault.

The woman declined medical treatment. She told police the attack happened after her husband started tearing up the bedroom after drinking and then repeatedly falling out of bed.

Wilson has yet to enter a plea. Court records say he will be represented by a public defender.
