OLCC gets 20 applications for new C. Oregon liquor locations
The Oregon Liquor Control Commission announced Friday it has 32 applications for proposed retail liquor locations in the Central and Northeast Oregon areas, 20 of those for new locations on the High Desert.
The OLCC said earlier this year it was looking to add about 10 liquor stores across 14 counties in central, northern and Eastern Oregon, including Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson counties.
Agency officials said the number of outlets hasn’t expanded in a while and it needs to keep pace with the growth of the state.
OLCC commissioners will accept written public comment on the applications from through 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 30 . Comments can be sent via email to OLCC.RetailServices@Oregon.gov or by postal mail to OLCC Retail Services, PO Box 22297, Milwaukie, OR 97269-2297.
The agency said commissioners will review comments submitted and will make final decisions based on their legal authority. Applicants will have an opportunity present their proposals to the commissioners on October 26 and 27.
