Education Foundation receives ‘Girls Night Out’ donation

The Education Foundation for Bend-La Pine Schools received a generous $4,665 donation from FootZone, Birkenstock and Outside In from the annual sold-out Girls Night Out event.

“We love having the opportunity to support unique education opportunities on a local level through a fun and engaging event.” said Angela Salido, owner of Outside In. The event is a local favorite that offers product discounts, raffle prizes and coveted swag bags for customers.

The Education Foundation provides financial resources and tools to teachers with an emphasis on STEM projects as well as art and music programs that benefit over 18,300 students and 2000 educators within the Bend-La Pine school district.

“We are so thankful for the support of FootZone, Outside In and Birkenstock in supporting the Education Foundation at Girls Night Out. Women in our community love this always energetic event and the support for our work on behalf of Bend-La Pine schools, students and teachers is greatly appreciated.” s aid Michelle Johnson, executive director for the Education Foundation.
