Local Alert Weather, Thu. AM, 12.14.17
Good Thursday Morning, Everyone…
After a morning of cold temperatures and shifting fog we are likely to see the mixed bag across the High Desert that we saw yesterday. Areas to the north that stay under the fog will see highs in the mid 20’s to low 30’s. Those areas not affected by the fog and seeing more sunshine will warm into the low 40’s…much like yesterday. Winds will remain light and variable through the day.
Tonight’s lows will drop into the mid teens to low 20’s. With a change in our airflow pattern on the way, this will be about the last night we will see a chance of freezing fog for awhile. Winds will stay calm for much of the night. As a cold front advances on the west coast we will also see a few clouds accumulate overnight.
Clouds will thicken fairly rapidly Friday morning. This will yield a chance of mixed showers as early as noon to 1:00 PM. The system will move through quickly, delivering showers through the afternoon and breaking up in the early evening. Fairly cloudy skies will stay with us through the weekend with only a minimal chance of showers. The good news: we get a break in this string of cold days we have been seeing. Highs this weekend will be in the low to mid 40’s. Temps will get a little warmer than that as we work through the middle of next week.
HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
