Local Alert Weather 0107 PM

KTVZ

Good evening, Central Oregon!

We saw temperatures near the low 50’s with cloudy skies. We’ll remain dry throughout the day with skies clearing up throughout the evening. Overnight lows will be in the upper 20’s to lower 30’s.

Overnight there’s a slight chance we could see a scattered shower pass through the region bringing snow to the higher elevations and rain to the rest of central Oregon. This will pass by quickly. We’ll remain mostly cloudy throughout the morning and afternoon hours. It isn’t until the evening that we see a 60 percent chance of rain showers return. Most of the rain will be along the Cascades.

This chance of rain will continue Tuesday morning, but stop by the afternoon. We’ll remain cloudy with temperatures staying in the mid 40’s. Tuesday night snow levels will drop to 1,500 to 3,000 feet, which means another round of showers early Wednesday morning could turn into snow. The temperatures will warm and turn the precipitation to rain. Overnight temperatures will drop below freezing Wednesday night and we see a chance of snow showers return.

Thursday snow levels will rise so we won’t see anymore snow. Instead, we’ll stay with rain showers throughout the day.

It won’t be until Friday we see drier conditions and skies beginning to break up by next weekend. Temperatures won’t be as mild, but will remain around average.
