Local Alert Weather – Tues. AM
Happy Tuesday morning, everyone!
We’re starting on a mild note this morning as temperatures didn’t make it into the lower 30s. Rain showers are scattered throughout the region, and you will find more shower activity closer to the Cascades. Snow levels are high this morning around 6,200′ and will fall to 2,900′ by the evening.
For the High Desert we’ll see a modest clearing by the afternoon. Showers will taper off around lunchtime. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 40s for most of the region with highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s in higher elevations. Breezy conditions will be with us this afternoon out of the northwest around 15 to 20 miles per hour.
Mt. Bachelor is looking to receive around an inch of snow by the end of the day, and maybe an inch by the end of the day Wednesday. Thursday is when we expect more snow to make a return.
Overnight lows will be in the 20s and slightly above average. Mostly cloudy skies will turn partly cloudy and we are not expecting any showers for Central Oregon.
Wednesday should be dry with mostly cloudy skies. Some showers will linger across the Cascades and higher elevations. Going into Thursday showers are returning to the Cascades with more snow on the way. Central Oregon will have a windy, rainy day. Sunshine is on the way for this weekend.
