Local Alert Weather 0120 PM

KTVZ

Hello Central Oregon!

This evening we’ll remain mostly clear with temperatures fairly cold in the lower 30’s for overnight lows. Winds will stay fairly breezy around 10-15 miles per hour.

At 4a.m. a Winter Weather Advisory goes into affect for all mountain passes until 6 o’clock tomorrow evening. This Advisory is also in place for La Pine and Sunriver until 10 o’clock Sunday night. This is due to a storm system that will begin to push into the region overnight. It will be a major snow event for Mt. Bachelor. They will see about 3 to 7 inches of fresh snow by Sunday night. For the rest of us from Bend to La Pine we could see anything from a trace of fresh snow to an inch. Everyone North of Bend will see rain showers. The greatest chance of see snow showers will be in the early morning. Throughout the day temperatures will warm and cause mix showers. Daytime highs will be in te upper 30’s to lower 40’s.

Monday morning there’s a slight chance of snow showers. We’ll be drier by the afternoon, but remain cloudy. A warm front will push in Tuesday so another round of showers will push through, but it will supply mostly mixed showers or rain showers since temperatures will be in the mid to upper 40’s. This will be in the form of snow for Mt. Bachelor.

Thursday we’ll have drier conditions once again, but a cold front will pass through. Snow levels will drop once again that we’ll see a chance of snow showers next Saturday.
