Local Alert Weather 0121 PM

KTVZ

Hello Central Oregon!

We have had a windy and wet Sunday. Some areas seeing some snow flurries others seeing rain. For the most part the snow that’s falling isn’t touching and sticking to the surface. Roads are fairly wet and could become slick as temperatures drop below freezing. The Winter Weather Advisory for La Pine, Sunriver and the Cascades will lift around 10 tonight. Overnight lows will be back into the low to mid 20’s.

Tomorrow will be dry with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures staying around average in the low to mid 40’s. Breezy conditions will continue, but it won’t be as strong as the winds were today. Overnight clouds will begin to push in.

Tuesday we’ll see conditions similar to today where we have light snow flurries in the morning that will turn to rain during the afternoon. Not expecting snow to accumulate. It will most likely melt once it hits the surface. Wednesday will remain wet with rain showers throughout the day. Overnight temperatures will drop into the 20’s so the rain showers could turn into snow. Snow levels will be down to 2,000 feet once we head into Thursday so showers will most likely be in the form of snow Thursday.

Temperatures will be in the lower 30’s for daytime highs both Thursday and Friday. Come Friday we’ll have a brief break before mixed showers return Saturday.
