Happy Monday morning, everyone!
This morning we’re off to a frosty, cool start. Highs will eventually climb into the upper 30s and low to mid 40s. Partly cloudy skies will be overhead. At times we could see mostly sunny skies. Winds will generally be out of the southwest around 10 miles per hour.
Snow showers for the Cascades will be scattered, but fairly consistent. No matter which pass you choose to take while driving know you need to be prepared for winter driving conditions. Snow levels today will start at 3,500′ then falling to 2,300′ by tonight.
Tuesday wakes up to snow showers for the mountains with clouds for Central Oregon. Snow levels on Tuesday will start at 3,500′ then rising to 5,300′ as a brief, but mild system pushes inland. Snow showers will be steady for the Cascades beginning Tuesday morning. Ski resorts can expect a breezy day.
The High Desert sees the chance for mixed showers kicking up around lunchtime. Mixed showers will be steady overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. You’ll find more snow in higher elevations with more rain for lower elevations. Lows will be chilly in the low to mid 30s.
The chance for showers lingers through Thursday before tapering off. Cooler air moves in on Thursday with lower snow levels as well.
