Family Access Network Foundation (FAN) announces two new additions to the FAN Foundation board, Amy Berger and Lauren Olson.

· Amy Berger moved to Bend in 2001. She has a degree from the University of Missouri and manages the SBA-Government Lending department for First Interstate Bank, formerly Bank of the Cascades. Amy has two children in the Bend school district.

· Lauren Olson moved to Bend from the San Francisco Bay Area with her family in 1992. She graduated from Mountain View High School and has a degree from Point Loma Nazarene University. Lauren has two small children and works for her family’s business, Cascade Insurance Center, as an agent and a member of management.

Both Amy and Lauren are passionate about supporting FAN’s mission to ensure that children in our community have access to the services they need to be successful. The FAN Foundation Board is a working board that requires nearly 90 dedicated volunteer hours from our board members each year. With their diverse backgrounds and skills, our board helps FAN change the lives of thousands of children each year.

Unique to Central Oregon, FAN began in January 1993 and currently employs 25 advocates in 52 public school (K-12) and early childhood sites to efficiently reach and connect disadvantaged children and families to critical basic-need services such as: food, shelter, clothing, healthcare and more. FAN’s mission is to improve lives by ensuring that all children in Deschutes and Crook counties have access to basic-need services.
