Six arrested in DRW raid; stolen counter tops recovered
Six Bend-area residents were arrested in a weekend raid on a home in Deschutes River Woods that turned up four stolen granite counter tops, as well as user amounts of methamphetamine and heroin, police said Sunday.
Last month, officers began investigating the theft of granite counter tops from Rock Hard Granite at 63595 Hunnell Road, Bend police Sgt. Bob Jones said in a news release.
It was reported that three people were involved in the theft of the counter tops, worth more than $500, Jones said. An investigation turned up the suspects’ names, as well as the location of the stolen counter tops.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Bend police, assisted by Deschutes County sheriff’s deputies, served a search warrant at a home in the 19600 block of Manzanita Lane.
Three theft suspects — Nicholas Butler, 34, Joshua Robicaud, 43, and Sharon Peterson, 61 — were arrested at the home, each charged with second-degree theft. Butler and Peterson also were charged with meth possession, while Butler also was charged with heroin possession. They were arrested by citation and not taken into custody.
Three other people who were at the home were arrested on unrelated charges and taken to the Deschutes County Jail, where they remained Sunday.
Sherri Price, 51, was charged with meth possession, interfering with a police officer (by giving false information) and held without bail on a probation violation detainer.
Michael Wyman, 30, was held on meth possession and without bail on two outstanding out-of-county warrants.
Justin Montoya, 35, was charged with meth and heroin possession and held without bail for probation violation.
