Good Thursday Morning, Everyone…

A major storm system tracking southward along the Canadian coastline will begin to make itself known to the Pacific NW today. It is marrying up with moisture along the west coast to bring rain to Central Oregon today. Highs will range from the upper 30’s to mid 40’s and breezy SE winds will pick up to 10-15 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph in some areas. This combination plans to bring a heavy snow event to the Cascades over the next 48 hours.

With our overnight lows dipping into the 20’s we will see a chance of snow showers tonight. Southerly winds will stay active at 5-15 mph.

Storm activity will linger into the weekend and so will these chilly temperatures. Storms will start breaking up Saturday night and into Sunday. A nice warming and clearing trend will have us back to normal temps and sunshine by the middle of next week.

HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
