Local Alert Weather, Thu. AM, 4.5.18
Good Thursday Morning, Everyone…
A developing system over the Pacific has drawn far enough east to bring rain to the High Desert today. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50’s and southerly breezes will be gentle at 5-10 mph. We will see primarily rain at the pass levels, but Mt. Bachelor is expecting 4-8 inches of fresh snow over the next 24 hours with more to follow.
Tonight’s lows will range from the mid to upper 30’s with some in the low 40’s. We will cling to a 50% chance of rain showers through the night and SW winds will pick up to 5-15 mph.
The chance of rain showers, heavy at times, will stay with us right into the weekend and begin to taper off Sunday. With the passage of a cold front we will see cooler, breezier conditions Saturday and Sunday. After a modest break Monday the next Spring storm system will begin to push in Tuesday and Wednesday. Temps will be cooler and we will see only a slight chance of scattered showers.
HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
