Leadership Redmond raising funds for Eberhard statue
The Leadership Redmond Class of 2018 is accepting donations for a life-size bronze statue memorial of Bob Eberhard.
Long-time dairy owner and entrepreneur, Bob Eberhard passed in September of 2017 at the age of 82. Bob embodied the Central Oregon spirit. He is remembered by many in the Central Oregon as a community advocate, a voice of wisdom, and an overall straight shooter.
Central Oregonians remember Bob’s familiar face from his television commercials where he encouraged consumers to tell local grocery store managers, “I want my Eberhard’s!”
The Leadership Redmond class is working with artist, James Haire, to create the memorial of Bob that will be featured in downtown Redmond. The same artist completed a sculpture in memory of Kaye Eberhard who passed in March 2016. The Kaye Eberhard sculpture currently resides at Redmond City Hall.
“The class recognizes all the work Bob has done for our local area,” says Eric Sande, Redmond Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “Every year they complete several projects, and a tribute to Bob was on the top of their list for 2018.”
Leadership Redmond is a 501c3 nonprofit. Donations for the Eberhard Memorial can be sent to:
