Local Alert Weather – Mon. AM
Happy Monday morning, everyone!
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for the west slopes of the Cascades. The advisory is in effect through 8 a.m. Tuesday for an expected 4-8″ of snow. Winter driving conditions are expected.
Today Central Oregon can expect breezy conditions especially in the afternoon. Winds will gust around 25 miles per hour out of the west. Temperatures will be about 10 degrees shy of average in the upper 40s. We should be at 60 degrees for this time of year.
Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies will be overhead with the chance for mixed showers. Higher elevations will see more snow and cooler temperatures. An area of low pressure will exit the region over the next few days, which is why we’ll see some breezy conditions.
Overnight we’ll be mainly dry with temperatures in the upper 20s. Mostly cloudy skies will be overhead and we have a very slight chance for a few snow showers.
Tomorrow will be dry with snow showers for the Cascades. The next chance for a few rain showers would be Wednesday as the next disturbance moves inland. As we head into the end of the week and the weekend high pressure will build back into the area. Temperatures will return to average in the upper 50s and lower 60s, and we’ll see more sunshine.
