Gov. Brown orders flags to half-staff in Barbara Bush’s honor
Governor Kate Brown on Wednesday ordered all flags at Oregon public institutions to be flown at half-staff in honor of the late former first lady Barbara Bush. In accordance with the proclamation by President Trump, flags should be lowered to half-staff until sunset on the day of internment.
“First lady Barbara Bush set the bar high for service and dedicated herself to bettering the lives of millions of Americans,” Governor Brown said. “Her legacy is marked by a kindness and compassion that made an indelible impact on what it means to be a public servant.”
The White House also issued a national flag order, and the full presidential proclamation is available here.
