Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM

KTVZ

Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!

Tonight we have the chance for a few remaining scattered rain showers as an area of low pressure exits the region. Overall winds will gust around 25 miles per hour out of the northwest. Mostly cloudy skies will turn partly cloudy to mostly sunny by tomorrow morning. Overnight lows will bottom out in the upper 30s and lower 40s.

Yesterday was our warmest day of 2018! We reached a high of 87 degrees at the airport in Redmond. The previous warmest day we’ve seen was 85 degrees back on April 25. We saw much cooler temperatures for Wednesday as highs had a tough time making it out of the mid 60s for most of Central Oregon.

Thursday welcomes the sunshine back to the High Desert. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies are expected throughout the day. Daytime highs will be in the upper 60s and low to mid 70s, which is much warmer than we were for today. Winds will be breezy at times in the afternoon.

Friday can expect more of the same with more sunshine. Mostly sunny skies are on the way to end the week. Highs will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Saturday will start with more sunshine than what we’ll see at the end of the day. There’s a slight chance for a few showers in the evening, but a better chance by Sunday. The 2018 SELCO Pole Pedal Paddle will see temperatures in the upper 40s and 50s for the early morning. Highs will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s in Bend in the afternoon.

Rain is on the way for Sunday, so make your outdoor plans for Saturday! Temperatures will be cooler in the mid to upper 60s.
