Today is the day! Mt. Bachelor opens early for the season. With plenty of fresh snow this week, it’ll be a great weekend to get on the mountain.

For the first time in nearly 30 years Mt. Bachelor is opening up this early. Also opening Friday is Mt. Hood, Meadows. Timberline is already spinning the lifts. There is more than 3 feet of snow piled up on Mt. Bachelor which should make for some great early season snow riding. Have fun and stay

Make sure to check out Mt. Bachelor this weekend as it is “Closing Weekend” with several events planned each of the next two days. The Cascades are going to see a slight chance for some snow overnight into Saturday, then a milder day Saturday with highs in the 40s and partly to mostly cloudy conditions.

Bluebird day with temps in the 40s under sunny skies. Once the slopes were groomed and deiced, the late season snow riding got underway. This is the last week for Mt. Bachelor, officially, and there will be plenty of sunshine today but some snow showers return on Friday and Saturday. Stay safe.

Some late season snow has fallen over the Cascades today and will continue into the night, off and on. The conditions are not ideal today as the winds are gusty and the slopes may be a bit icy, but there is new snow. Timberline is closed today due to the wind.
