Bend nonprofit holds Easter event to bring displaced Ukrainian families together, offer support

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- It has been two years since Russia invaded Ukraine, creating tragedies still being felt around the world. A Bend nonprofit held an Easter event on Saturday to bring Ukrainian refugee families together, to embrace inclusivity after those dark times.

Bend for Ukraine is dedicated to helping Ukrainian refugees with settlement challenges and barriers. The nonprofit is currently helping seven families navigate life in Bend.

To prepare for Easter, there was a Ukrainian pop-up egg hunt, Easter egg decorating and Easter bread bake-off.
