BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The 2020 OnPoint Community Credit Union Oregon WinterFest was the largest in its 21-year history, with more than 39,000 visitors attending the event.

Attendees were treated to an expanded collection of art showcased in the Light, Ice and Fire Exhibition. Hip hop legends Naughty by Nature and country superstar Lindsay Ell powered two nights of blockbuster entertainment.

Visitors also browsed through a selection of marketplaces featuring hundreds of vendors from the Pacific Northwest, and families spent time in the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry tent inside the Family Play Zone.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon, a 21 Cares for Kids partner, continued to be the beneficiary for Oregon WinterFest.

Through its efforts this year, Lay It Out Events and OnPoint Community Credit Union were able to donate a record $14,000 to support its essential community services.

Since 2008, Oregon WinterFest has donated more than $134,000 to its nonprofit beneficiaries.

“I am grateful I can provide services for a community that rallies around supporting youth based organizations,” said Jenni Garner, BBBSCO/J BAR J Youth Services Events Coordinator. “This contribution will assist with the many programs that Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon provides to the youth in the region. I am especially grateful to OnPoint Community Credit Union and Lay It Out Events for choosing our program again this year to assist with their events.”

Lay It Out Events is also proud to have been the recipient of a Bend Cultural Tourism Grant, helping fund and expand WinterFest’s Fire Pit and Light Art exhibits. By partnering with the Crook County Foundation, Lay It Out Events is able to place the winning fire pit in the community of Prineville and add to the robust collection of community art in Central Oregon.

WinterFest is extremely grateful to the community of attendees who continue to make this event and the donation possible. Lay It Out Events also thanked OnPoint Community Credit Union and their other sponsors and supporters who help the magic of Oregon WinterFest continue to grow.
