PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Rimrock Trails Treatment Services is grateful to receive $10,000 in grant funds from the Oregon Community Foundation’s Oregon Small Business Stabilization Fund in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

This funding supports the work Rimrock Trails has underway including providing behavioral health services to the Central Oregon community through Telehealth Counseling and their adolescent Residential Treatment Program for teens with severe substance use issues.

“Especially during this time, our diverse team of mental health professionals is working tirelessly to provide Central Oregon with emergent behavioral health services.  We rely on community support to do it and as is their nature, our valued partners at the Oregon Community Foundation heeded the call. Partnership with the Oregon Community Foundation allows us to flexibly respond to the community’s mental health needs amidst the ever-changing circumstances of the COVID-19 crisis. We are able to leverage local resources to meet the needs of our community at a time when they need us most.” – Michelle Duff, Rimrock Trails Community Relations Manager

Philanthropic partners, businesses, and individuals across the state have taken quick action with contributions to the Oregon Community Recovery Fund.  The fund, established by many partners throughout Oregon, and hosted by the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF), was established in March to rapidly deploy resources to community-based organizations at the front lines of the coronavirus outbreak.  Resources are prioritized where and when they are critically needed, with a focus on Oregon’s most vulnerable population.

“In this critical moment, it’s going to take all of us – foundations, nonprofits, private sector, and government at all levels working together to contain the crisis and care for our neighbors. We know that local communities are on the front lines of the crisis.  Philanthropy has an important role to play in supporting them, helping to fill the gaps in funding that have quickly become critical across the state.” – Oregon Community Foundation

Anyone may contribute to the Oregon Community Recovery Fund.  Donations are accepted online.  Non-profit organizations working to respond to this crisis can review funding guidelines and apply for grants on the Oregon Community Foundation’s website https://oregoncf.org/.
