BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Family Access Network Foundation’s first Virtual Luncheon was an online platform designed to engage guests in a unique and collaborative way, created with the expertise of Relativity Agency. This event raised over $90,000 for FAN services across Central Oregon.

For the fourth year, Hoodoo Ski Area provided the Title Sponsorship and is committed to this contribution through 2023. The success of this fundraiser is due to both the 30 sponsors, as well as the generosity of many other individuals and businesses in Central Oregon and beyond who gave generously at this time of need.

“We are honored to receive such strong support from our local community during this challenging time," said Alisa Betz, FAN Foundation Board chair.

"The obstacles families are facing due to the COVID-19 crisis are made more difficult, as parents and children adapt to distanced-learning, and it is thanks to our dedicated supporters that FAN advocates can help alleviate this by providing services that help kids thrive," Betz said.

"On behalf of the FAN Foundation, we’d like to thank all of our incredible donors, sponsors, and table captains who made this event possible," she added. "Together, we are making a difference in the lives of local kids and families!”

Unique to Central Oregon, FAN began in 1993 and currently employs 25 advocates in 59 public schools (K-12) across Central Oregon.

With the closure of schools, FAN advocates are working remotely and checking in with families in Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson counties to make sure they are making ends meet during this crisis.

FAN supporters are making a greater impact than ever by ensuring that families have the services they need to care for local kids.
