Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity ReStore adds new online shopping platform

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity ReStore will launch their new online sales platform, on Monday, June 1 for more shopping options.

Habitat anticipates that the Thriftcart software will be a great tool to use while the community is still physically distancing themselves and into the future for a more efficient way to shop.

The way it works…a Bend ReStore staff member will call the customer when the order is ready to schedule a pick-up time. Credit cards will not be charged until customers inspect, approve and pick up the items. The items will be ready for pick-up Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Bend ReStore loading area, located next to the sliding glass doors at 224 NE Thurston Ave., Bend.

When customers who have used arrive at the store, they will need to call 541.312.6709 and ReStore staff will bring the items to the customer’s vehicle. Customers will need to bring a digital copy or printout of the online receipt. ReStore can only hold items for 2 business days. After 2 days, the items will be returned to the sales floor and the order will be canceled.

COVID-19 protocols prevent Habitat ReStore staff from loading items into vehicles, so it is recommended that customers bring help if necessary. Although, ReStore staff will be able to assist with loading into truck beds or trailers.
