Coffee for a cause: Dutch Bros holds 10th annual Buck for Kids

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (KTVZ) -- For the 10th year in a row, Dutch Bros Coffee and its customers are joining together for Buck for Kids day to support local youth organizations.

On Friday, Dutch Bros will donate $1 from every drink sold to organizations hand-picked by local Dutch Bros crews for their commitment to creating a brighter future for kids.

“We see every day the impact young people have on our world. At a time when kids are experiencing so much change and uncertainty, we’re seeing them step up, adapt and achieve great things,” said Travis Boersma, CEO and co-founder of Dutch Bros.

“We’re stoked to join our customers and communities in supporting organizations working to create brighter futures for kids and teens. Buck for Kids is more important now than it’s ever been- I have no doubt our friends, family and customers will help us make a massive difference!”

In Central Oregon, the funds will go to Youth Villages Inc., which provides help for children and young people across the U.S. who face a wide range of emotional, mental and behavioral problems.

Buck for Kids is one of Dutch Bros’ main annual givebacks. It started in 2001 and has raised more than $2.5 million for youth organizations.

Local franchisees and operators choose which organization they’d like to support, ensuring every dollar stays local. Recipients include nonprofits focused on alleviating hunger, preventing child abuse, creating mentorship activities and providing medical transport for sick children.

More than 400 shops in nine states will be taking part in the giveback this year, including new locations in Utah and New Mexico. To find a location near you, visit www.dutchbros.com/locations
