Commute Options

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Commute Options urges all students to please join them in celebrating Winter Walk + Roll to School Day on Wednesday morning by walking or rolling to school.

All students in Bend-La Pine Schools are encouraged to participate! They have walk routes on their website to help you plan a safe walk to school.

Does your child attend Ponderosa Elementary? They will be having a specific Walk Day event meeting at Pine Nursery Park (parking lot near Yeoman Road Entrance) at 7:15 a.m. Families can park and walk with them or Kiss and Go and students can join their trained leaders on a group walk to school.

They will walk through Pine Nursery Park and enter through the northern school parking lot. Hot cocoa and Sparrow Bakery treats will be provided!

Commute Options is a nonprofit based out of Bend, dedicated to transportation options that connect people of all ages to the places they go – employees to their workplaces, students to their schools, and neighbors within their communities.

They champion active transportation and infrastructure improvements, fostering essential partnerships, and educating the community on transportation options.
