Furry Friends: Valerie is looking for a running partner

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- This week's Furry Friend is Valerie, a 2-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix.

She’s a true Bend dog, with a drive to run around in the great outdoors.

She’s also a big dog that needs a big space to spend her big energy!

"Definitely not an apartment dog. Preferably, you know, someone with either a big backyard or someone who likes to go on runs every day," Savanah Wellman, the volunteer manager at Brightside Animal Center, said Wednesday. "She is still young and has a lot of, you know, some work to do on her leash manners and things like that. So (she needs) someone who's willing to give her the time and energy needed."

Valerie’s foster parents and previous family said she was very sweet -- but Valerie needs someone who will take her on adventures and runs!
