Holiday travel tips: Alaska Airlines offers guide to a smooth Thanksgiving journey
SEATTLE (KTVZ) -- Thanksgiving is a busy travel time, with nearly a half-million people flying this weekend and Dec. 1 set to be the year's busiest day. Alaska Airlines says not to worry, as it offers up tips to help you travel stress-free and enjoy the holiday your way.
"Across our major West Coast hubs, we expect to fly more guests than last year," the airline said Friday. "In SFO, passenger numbers are anticipated to increase by 15%. In SEA, we expect to serve 230,000 guests, a 6% increase from last year. PDX is expected to see the largest surge in passenger volume with a 35% increase — or 85,000 passengers during the holiday weekend."
