Three arrested in pair of Prineville raids
Prineville police officers and detectives raided two homes Friday and made three arrests in connection with at least three residential burglaries in the city in recent weeks.
The officers served search warrants at 1041 SE Algonquian Loop and 511 SE 2 nd St. in an investigation of a burglary on or around Sept. 16 at a home in the 400 block of NE Cougar Loop, said Capt. Michael Boyd.
Among items taken in the burglary were personal checks that subsequently were cashed in Prineville, Boyd said.
Evidence linking two male suspects to the burglary was recovered during the raids, leading to the arrest of Brandon Michael Martin, 21, of the Algonquian Loop address, and transient John Charles Reinholm, 21, the captain said.
In addition, methamphetamine and related paraphernalia was found in a room shared by Ashley Renee Thimsen, 23, and her 3-year-old son at the Algonquian Loop home, Boyd said.
Boyd said a subsequent investigation and interviews implicated Martin and Reinholm in at least two other residential burglaries in Prineville in the past several weeks.
All three were booked into the Crook County Jail and later released due to crowding, a jail officer said.
Martin and Reinholm face charges of burglary, theft, forgery, ID theft and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, Boyd said. Thimsen is charged with drug possession and endangering the welfare of a minor.
