2013 Pole Pedal Paddle seeks art submissions

The Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation and the sponsors of the U.S. Bank Pole Pedal Paddle are excited to be hosting the 37 th Annual of the largest multi-sport event in the Northwest. Artists of all ages are eligible to enter this year’s Logo Contest.

The U.S. Bank Pole Pedal Paddle is a multi-sport event involving teams, pairs, and individuals who alpine ski, cross-country ski, bike, run, kayak/canoe, and sprint to the finish. The course begins at Mt. Bachelor and ends in Les Schwab Amphitheater. This year’s race is May 18, 2013.

This year’s logo design winner will receive a Commemorative Plate from Earhart Studios, logo wear with their design and $500.

The 2013 contest deadline is Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 5:00 pm. All art submissions will be displayed at the downtown branch of U.S. Bank beginning December 21 st until January 2 nd , 2013. The winning design will be voted on by the public and announced at a press conference at the beginning of January, TBD.

All entries MUST follow these restrictions or they will not be valid for the contest:

1. The winning artist must be willing to work with the Race Director in rendering a final form to be used for production. Please submit an electronic version with your submission if available.

2. Measurements of design cannot exceed 12″ x 12″.

3. Designs must be artist’s original work.

4. The following copy must be included within the design:

a. U.S. Bank Pole Pedal Paddle (spelled correctly!)

b. Bend, Oregon

c. 2013

Please note: “U.S. Bank Pole Pedal Paddle” must have each word graphically treated the same (i.e. equal font size) and all words must be kept together as the title of the event.

Entries upon submission become the property of MBSEF. Designs which are not selected can be picked up at the MBSEF office after January 10 th .

The Selection Committee will be comprised of public voters, MBSEF Staff Representatives, and U.S. Bank Representatives. The winning design will be selected based on uniqueness and printability. The design need not exemplify the different sports of the event.
