Credit union grant aids Bloom Project
The Bloom Project, formerly Friends with Flowers of Oregon, is excited to announce the receipt of a grant from OnPoint Community Credit Union.
“We are grateful to OnPoint Community Credit Union for their support of our service learning projects, providing an opportunity for students to participate as volunteers and learn more about the mission of our organization,” said Heidi Berkman, founder of The Bloom Project.
Donations of flowers, vases, workspace, volunteer hours and more, enable The
Bloom Project to bring beauty and joy to hospice and palliative care patients as well as their families as they care for their loved ones.
OnPoint’s generous donation will help fund service learning program expenses. This is the second school year that The Bloom Project has offered service learning programs, each of which is tailored to the needs of the student population that is participating.
The Bloom Project invites all to celebrate with them by volunteering, donating vases, flowers or funds. Or, by simply sharing their story with others.

About The Bloom Project
The Bloom Project is a non-profit organization that designs fresh floral arrangements for hospice and palliative care patients, providing beauty and joy
during their final days. Many of the flowers used in the arrangements are donated by florists, grocery stores, florists or recycled from events. On a weekly basis, volunteers create simple arrangements and hospice staff share the flowers with their patients.
