Saving Grace plans volunteer training

Saving Grace will hold its semi-annual volunteer training over the course of three weeks starting Saturday, April 20, through Thursday, May 9.

The 40-hour training, which will be held over a series of Tuesday and Thursday evenings (with the exception of one Wednesday) and three Saturdays, will prepare volunteers to work directly with the individuals Saving Grace serves.

The training fee is $75 to those willing to make a volunteer commitment of one year.

After the training, volunteers will be able help with a variety of services including; answering hotline calls, assisting shelter residents, facilitating support groups, working with children, and assisting at the courthouse. Saving Grace has a particular need for hotline and hospital response volunteers.
