Deschutes Rodeo queen gets royal treatment
Deschutes County Fair and Rodeo Queen Jessie Foster was honored at the fair Saturday with a special lunch.
Other visiting royalty attended to support the Tumalo native and got a chance to say thanks.
Foster just finished her freshman year at the University of Oregon.
The Summit High graduate was the Jefferson County Queen last year.
Foster says she loved that experience so much, she decided to go for her home county’s rodeo crown.
“County means a lot to me, and the people in this community mean a lot to me,” Foster said. “I did 4-H for eight years with this fair, and it’s been so much fun working with all the queens, the fair board, my queen advisor, my family, and it’s been a fun summer.”
As county queen, Foster travels to other county’s fairs and rodeos to support their royalty.
Foster says she loves meeting everyone, and is proud to be a part of the greater rodeo community.
