Pioneer Park, stretch of river trail to close for tree work

KTVZ

Bend Park & Recreation District’s Pioneer Park and the section of the Deschutes River Trail in the park will be temporarily closed Tuesday and Wednesday, August 27 – 28 due to a tree maintenance project.

Located at 1525 Wall Street north of downtown Bend, the park and trail are expected to re-open on Thursday, August 29th.

During the closure, people are encouraged to use other area parks such as First Street Rapids and Pacific Parks and to use the Deschutes River Trail via First Street or Revere Avenue.

Additional information and a park map can be found on the district’s website at www.bendparksandrec.org. Bend Park & Recreation District appreciates the community’s patience during the project.
